I started my first site in 2002. Back then, it was just a dollsite called GoGirl! Soon after, I changed its name to GurlGurl. As those names suggest, it was a very girly site with not only my dolls, but also beauty info (taken from magazines), some other graphics and other such things you usually find on these kind of sites. After a while, I decided to take off some things, and later some more, until eventually just a dollsite was what was left. I decided to give it a new name and came up with Silent Storms. It's not really a good dollsite name, but by then I wanted it to be more personal although it took a while before I actually added some more personal stuff to the site. I'm a pretty shy girl, the silent type, but in my head, thoughts never seem to stop, the most random thoughts keep popping up, sometimes it feels like it's a storm inside my head. That's how I came up with Silent Storms.
I ran Silent Storms at several free hosts but wanted more in the end so decided to give paid hosting a try and got myself my first domain, SilentStorms.net. Over time, the focus of Silent Storms changed again, the dolls are still there but as I never make any new ones, I added other graphics and also more personal info and it now houses my blog, graphics and I plan to add some of my drawings soon.
